By: SES
Over 650,000 receivers for TNTSat, the French digital terrestrial TV offer via satellite, were sold during 2011, which, as the service approaches its fifth anniversary, brings the total number of systems sold to 3.3 million.
TNTSat provides access to the full TNT service for viewers across all of France unable to receive it terrestrially, including 19 free-to-air channels, the 24 regional versions of France 3, and TV8 Mont Blanc (with Arte, France 2, M6 and TF1 in high definition), as well as 11 additional French-language channels and 40 French radio stations, all broadcast from ASTRA 19.2°E.
