HD for XD

By: SES ASTRA

The HD version of global channel, Disney XD has launched on Sky UK, on the ASTRA 28.2°E satellite. Disney XD HD is the second Disney channel to broadcast in high definition, following the film channel, Disney Cinemagic HD, which started in 2008. The Disney XD channel is primarily aimed at boys aged 6-14 and was created in 2009 when Disney bought and rebranded the Jetix channels worldwide.

Disney XD HD is the 50th HD channel on Sky UK, meeting the broadcaster’s self-set target of 50 HD channels by Christmas 2010.
