3D for Scandinavia

By: SES ASTRA

Viasat has launched the first 3D TV service in Scandinavia. Viasat 3D broadcasts from the ASTRA 4A satellite at 4.8°E and is initially showing 3D clips and films, with the promise of live 3D games from the Champions League football tournament in the spring.

To watch Viasat 3D, viewers need a 3D-ready TV and a Viasat OnDemand set-top box. The 3D clips are free to view and 3D films cost 59kr with the sports broadcasts at no extra charge to Viasat Gold subscribers.
