Spanish pay-TV platform Digital+ is now known as Canal+. The platform broadcasting from ASTRA 19.2°E includes a number of Canal+ branded channels, and owners Prisa believes that the Canal+ brand, known in Spain for over 20 years, has greater recognition than the Digital+ name created in 2003 from the merger of Canal Satelite Digital and Via Digital. To avoid confusion, the entertainment channel Canal+ is also changing, to Canal+ 1.
