Where should the dish be fixed and aimed? Can I use the dish inside the building? Can I install the dish myself? Can you advise me on how to install the dish? Can you recommend an installer? How do I become a professional ASTRA installer?
The satellite dish must be mounted securely on the outside of the home, in a position in which it can be accurately aligned on the required ASTRA satellite. The dish must have a clear view, with no obstructions whatsoever, directly to the satellite’s position. >Learn more about how to receive ASTRABack to top
The satellite signals are very small and can be stopped by other buildings, leaves on trees, or even a single sheet of paper, so a dish will not receive signals through the walls or roof of a home and must be installed externally.Back to top
It is possible to install an ASTRA dish yourself. However, unless you have experience of aligning a satellite antenna, the confidence and skills to fix the dish in position (probably at height), and access to the necessary signal measuring equipment, we would recommend that you use a professional installer. >Find a dealer in your countryBack to top
ASTRA cannot give advice on specific installations. However, the ASTRA Satellite Installation Assistant can provide you with the exact angles to set the dish for reception at your location. >Visit the ASTRA Installation AssistantBack to top
Unfortunately, we cannot hope to know all of the satellite installers across Europe. However, you can select an installer according to recommendations from friends and neighbours, their advertisements, their membership of a trade organisation (if applicable in your country) or by speaking to some of their customers. >Find a dealer in your countryBack to top
Although every professional satellite installer should be trained in the technologies and techniques of installation, there is no authorisation required from ASTRA to professionally install satellite dishes for ASTRA reception. >Visit the ASTRA Business WebsiteBack to top
