UK Viewers Stick to the TV

The UK has seen an explosion in ownership and usage of tablets and smart phones, but viewing growth on such devices has been minimal. Most viewing is for on-demand or catch-up TV services such as BBC iPlayer, and Channel 4's 4oD but in the first half of 2013, this amounted to just 1.5% of TV viewing, up from 1.2% last year.

What’s more, Thinkbox expects some of this catch-up TV viewing will itself move to the main TV screen as more TVs and set-top boxes offer this facility.
