More consumers want (cheaper) 3D TV

A survey by Accenture has revealed that purchase rates of 3D TVs are expected to grow this year by 500%, but also that over half of the respondents would be more likely to buy a 3D TV set if prices were reduced. The survey focused on usage and spending on 19 different consumer electronics technologies among more than 8,000 consumers in Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Russia, Japan and the US. Tablet computers, ebook readers and smart phones are also expected to increase sales this year while purchase rates of personal computers and (basic) mobile phones will decline.
