Snow stops 3D play

The first Dutch football game to be broadcast in 3D was cancelled by the Dutch football association KNVB due to heavy snow in The Netherlands. The Ajax vs Feyenoord match in Rotterdam scheduled for December 19, 2010 was to be broadcast live on the ASTRA 3D Demo channel on 23.5°E through an initiative by ASTRA, Eredivisie Live, and Endemol, and available for viewing on suitable 3D-ready receivers and TV screens in homes across Europe, and in a number of Dutch Panasonic TV retailers. The game has been rescheduled for January 19, 2011.
