The Slovak and Czech direct-to home platforms, Skylink and CS Link, which broadcast from the ASTRA 23.5°E and ASTRA 19.2°E satellites, have fully merged with the Luxembourg-based M7 Group, which acquired the two broadcasters last year.

The two platforms will maintain their separate identities to customers, with CS Link focussing on price-conscious customers and Skylink the platform for viewers demanding a wider channel choice and HD channels, but customers will be able to switch more easily between them.

Skylink and CS Link have a combined total of 2.4 million viewing cards in active use across Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

From September 1, 2012, both platforms will be introducing a ‘service charge’ of €1.2/29czk per month for viewers who receive only their non-subscription channels.
